CLOUDSWAY DANCE THEATRE

Led by Artistic Director Kunji Mark Ikeda, Cloudsway Dance Theatre provides emotional and physical wellbeing through the performance and training of dance theatre. The company provides physical empathy and empowerment through a dynamic combination of story, imagination, and choreography. Based in Calgary, the young company has created several original multi-disciplinary works, including the award-winning Sansei: The Storyteller which has toured throughout British Columbia, connecting with communities impacted by the Japanese Internment. Cloudsway Dance Theatre’s productions have also been presented at High Performance Rodeo (Calgary), The Fluid Festival (Calgary), The Kickstart Festival (Toronto), The Powell Street Japanese Festival (Vancouver), and Expanse (Edmonton).
